In honour of International Women’s Day this year, Bloom Me has decided it is about time that we shine a spotlight on our notable female figure making waves in the wellness industry. These lovely ladies have not only provided us with safe spaces to get in touch with ourselves, they have also given us the gift of motivation and inspiration to create, and the tools to help others.

Dee Cheung

Co-founder of Float On Hong Kong and SUP Yoga, yoga instructor for pre and post natal mothers, regular presenter at Hong Kong wellness festivals, and all round yummy mummy Dee Cheung is an inspiration for women everywhere. Beginning her journey in Hong Kong 11 years ago, this superwoman along with her partner in wellness Nadine Bubner explores all things real about mother-hood, wellness, and the journey of yoga.

At BloomMe, we are utterly obsessed with booking in float sessions from Dee’s Float On Hong Kong. Float On Hong Kong opened its doors in 2015 offering complete sensory deprivation – a rarity in the hustle and bustle concrete jungle of Hong Kong. The floating pods use epsom salts to keep you suspended and in a state of anti-gravity during the session, and we guarantee the moment you enter the pod all your problems will melt away with a still mind.

Coco Chan

A force to be reckoned with in the wellness world Coco Chan is founder of Voltage PR & Wellness Warriors. After growing up in Hong Kong and returning for a successful career in PR, Coco discovered the need for mindfulness and wellness after observing the stress and wear that the hectic Hong Kong lifestyle places on the mind and body. In order to combat this, Coco created the Wellness Warriors. This Hong Kong-curated movement is a way for the wellness like-minded community of Hong Kong to connect and “nourish mind, body, and soul through a collective of mindfulness practices”.

After suffering from chronic anxiety, Coco discovered the power of aromatherapy as a natural way to calm the mind and centre the soul. Oils, fragrances, and a good you-time session can work wonders on helping you to find balance in your life, but Coco urges you to be a smart consumer and be vigilant about purchasing products that are good for you bod.

Psst. A full interview with Coco can be read here.
