Potassium helps you maintain a healthy blood pressure. Fiber provides many well-known benefits such as decreasing risk of heart disease. Vitamin A keeps your skin healthy and helps protect against infections, while vitamin C helps keep your teeth and gums healthy. A smoothie is a delicious way to enjoy more of these fruits and veggies, since blending them makes them easier to digest. Plus it tastes super yummy!

 

3. Stay hydrated

I’m sure many of you can feel your skin start to dry out in the summer. Drinking water all the time can get boring, so I make sure to drink tea and smoothies which add variety and can ensure you consume adequate liquids. Try using fruit and veggies that are high in water content. like watermelon, pineapple, celery, melon, and strawberries. Also, I always try to go for an organic facial every other week or so, just to make sure my skin stays hydrated. 4. Cut down on processed food

  • coconut water or filtered water 1 cup
  • frozen banana (medium) 1 
  • strawberries 1 cup
  • pineapple 1 cup
  • baby spinach 1 cup

 

Directions:

 

  1.             Throw all of the ingredients into your blender.
  2.             Blend on high for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  3.             Transfer to a large cup and enjoy!

 

Keep in mind you can substitute any of the fruit for what you have in your fridge. But be sure to add in at least 1 cups of greens (preferably leafy greens!) for optimal health benefits and clearer skin!
