After last year’s New York Fashion Week, Eun Kyung Park, a revolutionary manicurist from Seoul and owner of Unistella By E.K. Lab, went viral from introducing the world to shattered glass manicures. A simple manicure that uses small cut up pieces of plastic film on top of a base coat to create the look of shattered glass. This year Park has done it again with another minimalist nail trend that we’re predicting will go viral. Wire Nails.
This year Park has done it again with another minimalist nail trend that we’re predicting will go viral. Wire Nails. Yes, by using thin pieces of copper wire, Park has created a multitude of beautiful nail designs that either use wire as an accent, overlaying art or even as a boarder for the nails.
Park is known for her experimental styles for manicures, and has often been the centre of media attention for the variation of textures and materials used to create her unique way of taking nail art to the next level. From moon rocks and gemstones…
…to spidery yarn and chrome. Park has a way of making manicures a true art form. There are even rumours that Park is working on a “gif manicure”, and although we’re not entirely sure as to what that means, we’re certain that we cannot wait to see what it is!
