There is no doubt about it, in Hong Kong we’re a culture that loves taking photos and documenting our life- “Camera eats first” ring a bell? There are so many amazing accounts to follow that encompass our interests that its hard to keep up with everyone. Here are our favourite accounts to follow for lifestyle, fashion, wellness and general inspo that help us get geared up for the day!
- Vivienne Tang
Join Andrea Oschetti, Heather Thomas Shalabi and myself this Tuesday, May 23 (7pm) at the Blueflower Travel Salon for a mindful evening in Hong Kong as we discuss wellness travel and how your holiday can have a lasting impact on your happiness and wellbeing. 4-course dinner for HK$280 (instead of HK$480) if you use TRAVELSALON3 as your code. Book via link in my bio.
Founder of the Sanctuary and Destination Deluxe, Vivienne enbodies everything about health, wellness and travel. From following her instagram you’ll have no problem feeding your inner #wanderlust or #yogi!
2. Angie LCC
Just my usual superfood muesli bowl with turmeric maca latte to start my day <3 My secret to a productive day is to fuel yourself with the right kind of food. I used to have smoothies for breakfast, I did thrive on that at the beginnning. However, after years of smoothie breakfast (which is a bit too "cold" for Chinese people), I decided to have some "cooked" food for breakfast. I usually have a warm turmeric maca latte with #museli or steel cut oats these days in the morning and I feel more efficient and productive during the day
Angie, the VANGIEtarian, creates mindblowingly beautiful meals to promote a healthy and plant based diet. She publishes rull recipes from her snaps on her blog so you can carry on the food inspo right into your kitchen.
3. Katherine Lee
A post shared by Katherine Lee (@katherineleeyoga) on
More than your typical yogi, Katherine loves to take photos with interesting perspectives, travelling all over Hong Kong to take snaps that throw us in awe of both her poses and the background.
Aussie expat Geneva flawlessly shows the intricate beauties of Hong Kong and the other places she travels to. Known for customising her own clothes to show the simplicity in femininity, Geneva’s photos never fail to make us smile.
5. Valerie Lam
As her handle suggests, Valerie aka coffeewithyoga mostly takes photos of coffee and yoga- two of our favourite things! Valerie is rising up in the IG Yogi scene by taking risks with her photos, not only with the poses she does but by taking the photos is precarious locations that keep us wanting more.
6. Karen Yiu
A post shared by Karen Yiu (@karenpaint) on
Known for her colourful and high fashion looks, Karen Yiu, a Hong Kong makeup artist and body paint artist pushes the boundaries on on what we’re used to seeing on IG’s beauty scene. No tacky contouring “hack” videos to see here!
7. Jaime Smith
We’ve been a long time fan of Jaime, and even mentioned her in our Hong Kong’s Rockin’ Moms post. Not only is she a #BossBabe, but also a mother and an incredibly talented makeup artist.
8. Karen Holt
Another foodie definitely worth following! Karen creates delicious recipes that look too good to be healthy, but by experimenting with avocado’s like the pictures above, she helps us reach our health goals without feeling like we’ve sacrificed flavour!
9. Daisy Tsoi
Crowned as Miss Hong Kong 2015, Daisy Tsoi has since been creating gorgeous fashion- focussed, lifestyle photos in which she expands her blog regularly. Her color coded feed is a delight for all those who appreciate the orderly and tidy (and refuse to call ourselves OCD).
10. Elaine Li
Although not technically a fashion or lifestyle blogger, Elaine Li is definitely a blogger you should look out for as she shows whole different views and perspectives of Hong Kong (and other places she travels). As an art director for Ogilvy & Mather, her pictures reflect her talent by being meticulously composed to perfect.
